About FEN

L.E. Fen is a figurative painter whose work explores quiet presence, interiority, and the language of posture, gesture, and refusal. His practice centers individuals who carry a private yet palpable sense of self—often depicted in still, intimate moments that resist spectacle. With a limited palette punctuated by contrast, and an economy of mark and attention, his paintings reflect a deep listening: to melancholy, to confidence, to the quiet truth of being.

Fen holds an MFA in Poetry, a background that informs his sensitivity to narrative, gesture, and emotional nuance. 

Fen lives and works in downtown St. Petersburg, FL.
